Back in the section finals

This morning I am entering my most nervous week of the year. On Thursday our high school hockey team beat Kittson County Central 11-0, and then last night we beat Crookston 9-1 to earn a birth in the Section 8A Championship game. On Monday night Thief River Falls and Bemidji will play to determine who our opponent will be. Whoever wins the section championship will enter the Minnesota State Hockey Tournament in St. Paul the following week.

This will be the thirteenth section final that I've been a part of, but I didn't get to my first one until my twentieth year of coaching. I was also involved in two as a player in the late 1960s. The anxiety going into this game is like nothing else I've ever experienced. Win, and you've earned a week in St. Paul, and your season is considered at least somewhat of a success. Lose, and you're done. I'll let you know on Friday how we came out.

Coach Fermoyle:

Congrat's on the "big" win last night versus a very tough team in Crookston. Coach Bittner always has the Pirates well prepared yet on this night it was evident the Warroad Warriors were not to be denied.

I wish I had those same feelings like I did from 2003 - 2007 when I was on the Warriors hockey staff. There is no doubt I miss being part of the most storied hockey program in Minnesota HS Hockey history. Yet, being away from the program makes me cherish the incredible memories even that much more.

After attending the U of North Dakota Fighting Sioux game as they tied Colorado College yesterday afternoon, I plugged on the the Blues game at Phoenix and listened to the Warrior game.

All three organizations that T.J. has been associated with playing within (4) hours of each other. I know he's very proud of the "boys" and the entire program.

There isn't any doubt Warroad hockey has blossomed since your arrival in 1992. Your passion for the game and meticulous attention to detail is second to none. And what people in the circles haven't realized how crucial you have been in the goaltending coaching appointment. Warrior goaltending has been superior since your arrival and continues to simply always be the "backbone" to the program's success.

On a personal note, I will be either attending or listening to the broadcast on KQ-92 FM in Warroad on Thursday night. If Warroad wins, I get to make my 7th straight trip to the Minnesota State HS Hockey Tournament and work as a color analyst with Jon Micheal as play-by-play. Just like the old days.

I wish you, Coach Hasbargens' and Coach Olson all the luck come Thursday night in Hockeytown USA. I know how special these nights are and can tell you I never took any moment for granted as I represented the proudest mascot and team in Minnesota during my tenure.

Thank you, JoeP! We'll take any help we can get from Black Bear country.

And it's always great to hear from Osh! As Osh said, he worked on our staff for four years, and he's one of the best friends I've had since I moved to Warroad. His son, T.J., is the best hockey player I ever coached. He went on to play for the University of North Dakota for three years, and he is now playing for the St. Louis Blues of the NHL. Like teachers, he has his summers off, but he's making a little more money. :)

By the way, TRF beat Bemidji last night 6-1, and looked very good doing it. Why can't it ever by easy?

Coach,
I'm sitting in Plattsburgh, NY in my living room with none other than my brother-in-law Albert Hasbargen who arrived today to take in the DIII Frozen Four in Lake Placid, NY. We talked about alot about the State Tourney and the upcoming tournament but as the time grew close to 9:00, he told me enough about hockey, I have to watch American Idol. What have you done to this guy?

This is the manner by which payday advance suppliers make their advances extremely gainful. You need to return over and over to keep up. The savvies decision is to utilize Payday credit organizations if all else fails and in the midst of crisis.

On the off chance that you require cash to pay your month to month bills, to pay lease, purchase sustenance for you and your family, consider payday credits.
